Favorite Memory | I love the time we spend together as a group, whether that be singin g or otherwise. It has helped me greatly to get to know all the current musicia ns and makes them feel like my little extended family!

Favorite Memory | This question is actually much more difficult to answer then one may think. The 53rd musicians has had such an enormous impact on my life that it is profoundly difficult to single out one single event or weekend. The best I can do is to say that every moment spent with this very unique and special group of people will never be forgotten and the many memories will be a very important part of the story of my life.
Where are they now? | Heading into my 4th year (yea!!!!!!!!!!!!) at the University of Waterloo. I then hope to head to Teacher's Collage at the University of Ottawa. After all the education is finally completed I hope to teach junior kindergarten. I am also engaged and I will be married in August of 2001!

Favorite Memory | Alas, but this occurred at my favourite musician practice at St.
George's (?) in Kitchener... It was a winter's night, and I had gotten lost
walking from Forest Heights Collegiate to the church. I had to knock on
people's doors and ask them where to go, even though I am myself a native of
K-W. Finally, upon reaching the church, I settled in with my amis et amies
to sing the weekend away. Apparently, we did a lot of hard core singing,
because by Sunday afternoon we were a mite tired. Brucie Millerd and I were
in charge of the weekend, so we had supplied all the food- - and were
responsible for taking it home. Well, after Andrew, Allison, Lana and the
others had left, only Donna, Katrina, Dave, Bruce and myself remained to
pack up the rest of the food and remaining mess. We accomplished this task
with our usual gusto, wit and humour (generally making jokes about the
egg-shell colour of our shirts). All that was left was a full, but opened,
bag of milk. What were we to do with this bag?!?! It was at this moment that Dave made that wonderous suggestion which would forever change our lives... he got out the plastic juice glasses and said, "Guys, we're doing milk shots!!" He poured us glasses (although Katrina refused to participate!) and we all pledged to chug. 1, 2, 3... Drink!! All would have gone well... if Donna hadn't made that funny face as she was drinking, and I hadn't smiled at it, and Bruce hadn't broken out into outright laughter, and Dave hadn't followed suit.... and then before you knew it, milk was coming out everywhere and we were laughing like we'd never laughed before. |

Where are they now? | Presently, I am working at the Region of Ottawa-Carleton as a
Communications Officer, in a summer student position. I will be entering my
third year of Journalism-Political Science, with a French notation this
coming September. I've been in Ottawa for almost two full years now, and I
have a lovely little apartment which I share with my AWESOME roomie from
Newfoundland, Karen. I go to a small Anglican church on Bank Street where
there are many children, and the minister is wonderful. In my spare time, I
work at a Blockbuster by my apartment (and enjoy ten free rentals a week)
and party with other Blockbuster friends after shifts at the bar and grill
across the road. I also play baseball in a league for lawyers and their
spouses - - where I pretend to be a crown attorney and my friend Kevin says
he's my spouse. It's all good! There are many times at church when we sing songs we used to sing as musicians. These are my favourite-favourite memories... the ones that aren't actual events or episodes (involving milk all over the kitchen)... but the ones that just make me *feel* happy to remember my friends at 53rd. |
